So, you want to go to the Open...

The US Open, the final grand slam of the season, is an electrifying event where you can witness the world's best tennis players in action, set against the backdrop of the vibrant city of New York!
Here are a few tips to think about when you are going to the Open.
-
Decide early. Tickets go on sale in late May and go fast.

-
Book your hotels first. New York is busy and rooms can fill up fast. If you decide not to go later, you can always cancel your room reservation

-
Stay in Queens, Jamaica, or JFK Airport. Prices for hotels are cheaper than in Manhattan.

-
If you stay in Manhattan, choose a hotel near a subway line. Times Square, Madison Square Gardens, and the Port Authority are near connecting subway stations where you can get to the venue.

-
Take the #7 Train to Willets-Mets station. This is the stop that will get you to the boardwalk to cross the railyard to the south gate entrance of the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.

-
Get a day pass to Arthur Ashe/Louis Armstrong stadiums, and stay the rest of the day on the grounds. Regular "grounds" passes have gone through the roof "literally." This option will save you a few dollars on tickets.

-
Once at the tennis venue, visit the Ralph Lauren Polo store attached to Louis Armstrong stadium. Buy any item, from a stylish polo shirt to a trendy cap, and get a free bag that can double as a clear backpack to keep your things during your stay.

-
Make sure to catch your favorite players at the practice courts warming up and getting ready for their matches. This information is readily available through the US Open app or the US Open.org website, ensuring you don't miss any exciting moments.
